Rotary History Book "Journey of the Cedar Rapids Rotary Club."

William C. Jacobson, a former Rotary president and district governor, recently completed and published this ambitious history of the Rotary Club of CR's nearly 105-year history. It involved the compilation and editing of many notes and photos from past club secretaries, as well as original research.

 
The book, entitled “Journey of the Cedar Rapids Rotary Club,” traces the evolution of Downtown Rotary through the decades, from its first founders and early leaders to the addition of women and the election of our first African-American president in 2015. It explores the role our club played in the establishment of six other clubs, and attempts to catalog the many charitable projects and initiatives undertaken by Rotary clubs in our area.
