Jaye Kennedy joined Waypoint as Chief Executive Officer in 2013, bringing 30 years of professional non-profit management and development experience to the organization.  Prior to joining Waypoint, she was Director of Development for Major Gifts at the University of Iowa Foundation for eight years where she supported 7 colleges within a nine-state territory.

Jaye considers it an honor to lead the Waypoint team in its mission of “Inspiring People to Move Forward”.  She received her BA in Business Administration from Mount Mercy University.

Jaye is also an artist and instructor in creating wearable art. She focuses on designing and painting silk scarves.  She and her husband, Spencer, live in Hiawatha and have two daughters, two grand-daughters as well as their 4-legged daughter, Jemma.
