World Polio Day was Oct 24: Replay the Rotary event from the live webcast that evening  http://new.livestream.com/rotaryinternational/worldpolioday  Today, Oct 28 is Dr. Jonas Salk’s 100^th birthday anniversary.  Dr. Salk led the team that developed the first polio vaccine in 1957. November is Rotary Foundation Month: Watch for more news in this space, and for activities in the weekly meetings by the Foundation Committee. This week: World Polio Day news (above) and did you know: Original polio research was funded by National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis which later became the March of Dimes!

Last Thursday: Kathy Fahy, our Rotary District Governor from Spirit Lake spoke to Sunrise members.  We enjoyed her message, her energy and her time with the Board. Thursday evening we enjoyed members and visitors socializing at our Sunset Social at the new TCR Lounge, open Thursdays and Fridays.

 

Fall Auction: Be sure to thank the Auction Team led by Adam and Rebecca.  They had many helpers who we also thank for their efforts and results!

 

Sunrise will be interviewing candidates for the student exchange program.  This is a fun way to meet the quality students for interviews.  Contact Tim Michels for the date/time/location if you want to help. 

 

Fall Event Member Signups are ready for you on-line NOW! - Similar to the previous website: click Attending or Volunteering from the EVENT.  Login may be required.  Sign up to Attend (Christmas Party) or to Volunteer (Bell Ringing).   Salvation Army 1 hour shifts are for 2 people each.
