    Fall Fundraiser Auction Preparations

November 4 at El-Kahir Shrine facility.  More details will be coming soon.

    Things to do now:
    • Start collecting -  ANY items for the auction. Things people need and want.
    • Bring them to the weekly meetings.  Or take for storage to Theresa's Red Cedar Advisory.  129 16th Ave SW. (319) 200-6600
    • Include the completed Auction Item sheet here for easier auction setup. Copies are at Red Cedar too.
    • Draft your guest invitation email and list guest names to invite.
    • Watch for planning meetings to join.  Learn about and contribute ideas.
Our 'give back' funding need is still high, with in- and out-bound Exchange Students in the budget.

We will donate to other local groups through this year and next, as you - the members - bring those opportunities to the board.

Exchange Student "Alvaro" is Settled In!
Our in-bound Rotary Exchange Student - Alvaro - arrived Sunday August 21 from Argentina.  He began attending Kennedy HS on August 23.

He has finalized his classes, attended his first PEP Assembly, signed up for Soccer, has a KHS Activity App/Pass, a US cell phone Sim card, and his CRB&T "teen" bank account we support.  His English skills improved a lot in 1 week!  He is a delightful, happy young man.  We thank the Globokar family, a kind host-family for him.

Consider hosting Alvaro in his 2nd or 3rd trimester at Kennedy HS.  Also ask friends and neighbors as well.   Contact Bruce or Mary if you want to discuss.
