ImageWe welcome you to our Sunrise Rotary Website!

Hi, I'm Clayton Cubbage, the Sunrise Rotary Club President.

If you are looking for a group of hardworking professionals who care deeply about their fellow Rotarians and their community, then Sunrise Rotary is for you.  It is truly like having breakfast with your extended family every Thursday morning at Elmcrest Country Club.  As the Thursdays pass by with one amazing speaker after another, you might find yourself wondering, how did we accomplish so much while having so much fun?

Our contributions include:

· Raising $25,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation through the “Wish Upon a Par Golf Outing” and “Sunrise Chili Supper”

· The award of scholarships to LinnMar and Kennedy students for higher education

· Installation of an emergency generator at Camp Hitaga, a local Campfire USA facility

· Sponsoring outbound and hosting inbound Foreign Exchange Students

· Administering Polio vacations in India

· Traveling to Mexico to participate in the Rotary District 6000 Xicotepec Project

· Salvation Army bell ringing

· Volunteering at the Pribyl Golf Outing

· ……and many other service projects along the way

Our group’s culture of doing the right thing, supporting each other, and stepping up to successfully tackle any challenge allows our forty-member club to accomplish a lot. It also makes it easy to become a connected and active Rotary member from the first day you join. This is evidenced by the number of young professionals who have joined our group over the last couple years and established a Sunrise Rotary New Generations Group. We hope to continue to grow our club, and all we ask of our members is to:

· Be an active participant

· Help us grow our club

· Contribute to the Rotary Foundation

It’s that simple! We also offer different memberships and dues options.

And if the accomplishments above aren’t enough to sway you, then well, we also like to have fun. We have been known to participate in a few wine tastings, golf outings, Christmas parties, baseball games, gatherings at local establishments, boat rides, etc.

Choosing the right Rotary club is important. Each area club has a different character. We invite you to come to breakfast on us, to get a feel for our club. We meet at Elmcrest Country Club on Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. You just might find yourself coming back.
